Marin LOVES to play dollhouse just like a big girl! She takes dolls or furniture in both hands and BANGS them onto the dollhouse floor. See how proud she looks? She could have a career as a furniture mover - I hear they are just as gentle!!

Lucy brought me her bowl today at lunch and it was empty..." can I have some more PORRIDGE?" she said. ( hmmm....we have been reading too many fairy tale books.......) Allie looked at her and said with much authority..." Who do you think you are, Goldi-clocks?" Gotta love it!!
Matthew says the best thing about being 4 is that - " I can sit in a new booster seat instead of sittlng in a car seat mommy has to buckle me in!" Matthew chose cookies and ice cream for his birthday treat! Yummy!! Happy 4th Birthday Matthew! We love you!
Marin has been learing to eat baby food. Today's new food item was applesauce! She wasnt a huge fan of it at first and a lot ran down her face! This prompted Lucy to exclaim that she looked " just like a Baby Santa!"
Gavin was not too happy when he arrived and noticed that Marin was sitting in HIS highchair! He was excited to sit in the booster chair and wasted no time digging into his breakfast!
Allie informed us of some world news today about the " EARTHSHAKES in

Everyone is SO excited about our new craigslist toys! I spent Saturday finding fun things for daycare on craigslist and the HIT of the purchases was this Little Tikes inflatable jumper! That jumper has been on the driveway, in the garage, in the livingroom, then the playrooom and the tv room and today its going in the front yard! ( no extra charge for the early bedtimes that willbe inevitable after 10 hours of jumping legs per day!! LOL!!)
Today the kids were busy with the new markers. They were making MANY pictures. " This is a picture of a red herron" said Matthew. " I thought it was called a blue herron" I said. " Dont you know anything?? It's called a RED herron" Matthew replied!!! Hmmmm....I guess he told me!!
""My Mom said we dont have any goof balls" said Lucy. "I dont know what that means" I told her. " " You know, she says the goof balls are not working!!- up there on the ceiling!! sahe said. I finally figured out they were not goof balls - they were LIGHT BULBS!!!
GREAT NEWS!! I have found a 5th year Spanish student who is a senior at Prior LAke high school who is going to come and teach our weekly summer spanish lessons! The kids are very excited about it!
Finally! Summer is around the corner! Keep that sunscreen coming - I only have had a few people bring theirs! The sun is strong right now and we will be outside!
This summer we will have a lot of fun activities planned. Some of them are free and some have cost asociated with them. I will pick up the costs of alot of the activities but not all. I am asking for a $25 per family ( NOT per child ) fee to help offset the costs of these extra activities! They will be fun and well worth the $8 per family monthly charge!!
A spanish tutor will come 1 time per week for a 45 minute session of fun with beginning spanish!
The girls will have a series of cheerleading clinics from a "real" Prior Lake cheerleader!
The boys will have a " sports camp" 1 time a week for several weeks. Each session will be a different sport - baseball, football, soccer, basketball run by 2 neighborhood boys at the park for us!
A new water slide is coming! ( the kids tried to work Dave for an in-ground pool to no avail!! :) )
A new inflateable jumper is coming ( since we couldnt talk Dave into another trampoline!)
travel tots will visit daycare 2 times a month!! We will have the following classes with them:
Adventures in Geography is a monthly adventure in learning that takes children on a journey around the world! Music, games, stories, flannel board activities, puzzles and crafts combine to teach the children in your care about different places around the world.
Experiments, learning and lots of fun abound during a Travel Tots Adventures in Science Class. This interactive program introduces children to the wonders of science. Combining science facts with hands-on experiments, children will learn about the many ways our world works. Introduce children to the joys of movement
and life around the world with

We will also have our ususal summer activities!!
4th of July parade
tie dye shirts
water balloon day
can you think of any more fun things for us to do??
Matthew informed me today at lunch that his Grandma does not have to wash the dirty plates and spoons at her house! " Well, the dogs can lick the plates and spoons at my Grandmas house. She doesnt even need to wash them!" I said that maybe Grandma then has to put them in the dishwasher. " Hmm, no she doesnt have to!" ( I am sure Grandma will have a few objections to that one!!)
