My. Brother Mike, editorial cartoonist for the Detroit Free Press came over and drew caricature pictures of each of the daycare kids. He asked them what princess they wanted to be in transforming them! He is a multi time Pulitzer finalist so this was awesome!
don't you just love finding new things in a fraction of the cost? I want to wants upon a Child yesterday and found one of my favorite things… Large format puzzle! This group of littles adores puzzles!
I also found a princess game and an interactive book about being a grandma... just in time for me becoming a grandma for the very first time in a couple of weeks.
Awhile ago after a very bad news day I felt inclined to write up an affirmation for my Littles so that hopefully they will always remember the words of the affirmation were true. I want them to know they are perfect just the way they are even though they may go through trying times, even though things I want to always be perfect in the world, even though they will make mistakes… Sometimes huge ones. I hope somewhere in the back of their memory this affirmation get them printed. Don't we want that for all children? We say yes affirmations daily. Don't they do a great job
Just in time for preschool you are crazy about letters! These two just love to write their letters. Harper is writing lots of words getting ready for first grade Eden is having a great time writing letters! Grandma Joan bought charts and these girls are busy busy copying the words on the poster!!
oh my gosh, where does the time go? It's already almost the end of July. Summer is going quickly. Time to start thinking about preschool! Here are the first few weekly themes. These themes will take us through November. Our preschoolers will have a supply list just like the big kids. I know how excited they get to bring their own items to daycare!! We will be taking many projects home. I know the amount of projects and paperwork can be overwhelming but please remember how excited this little ones are with everything they make so please take the time to take them home with you… Even if they discreetly end up in the trash five minutes in the door!
a fantastic find from a Facebook post asking for preemie and newborn clothing for our dolls!! The fashionistas were complaining two drawers of doll outfits just wasn't tnough!! I bought these outfits and they are soooooo darling. The busy moms went wild ( along with one daddy in training!!) we got out our fleet of doll buggys and the doll care marathon began!!n
Paper people, paper, paint… Anything P!!!we are addicted to crafting. We love to cut, color, paste, use paint!! It keeps us busy!!
my vacation is over. I had a great tome!! First stop San Diego with my sister for a great time in the sun. Returning I spent time with Dave and then off to a wedding for our niece which was a Driday thru Sunday affair. It was much needed and now it's back to the littles!!!
