We have been working hard on our sign language. Our new video teaches us sign language in song. Here is our first attempt... pretty good I might add!Presenting - 5 little monkey's jumping on the bed.........
Ok, I hope I don't always look this bad! I will give credit for the Halloween -fab hairstyle to my stylist Allie! Anyway.....what fun we had at our Halloween party! I finally got smarter after 16 years of parties and split the celebrations into two! One for school kids and one for smaller goblins. What cute little (and BIG)trick or treaters!!
P.S. Never have a "popcorn relay" in the house......not one of my "cleanest " ideas!
Everyone enjoyed crunching the candy skulls on the cupcakes we made on baking day! Even baby Eli - now reffered to as "E" or " the big E" loved them....sorry "E", you are too little to crunch the skulls - only plain cupcakes for you!
Our Halloween party will be on THURSDAY! Please bring your costume and each child should bring a treat to share!
Counting is so much fun when you can put your money in a cash register! The girls worked hard counting out their bills and coins and putting them in the till! What smart cashiers!
Everyone could not wait to taste these yummy, sticky ghosts on a sitck! The assembly line ran smoothly, until the workers had to leave the line to re-wash their hands. They just couldn't resist licking their white chocolate covered fingers! Three marshmallows on a stick, covered in white chocolate with candy eyes....now that's a spooky ( an sticky ) halloween treat!
If candy ghost were not enough thrills for ya, how about these paper ghosts on a sick?? Spooky!!
How do you keep kids busy for hours? 1 pumpkin + 100 golf tees + 2 hammers =
HOURS OF POUNDING FUN!!!
Sometimes things just dont turn out as cute as you had planned! That is the case with these ghost and witch treats we made today. Oh well...at least they tasted yummy!
Here we are, all ready to head off on our " school kids adventure" - only for school kids -obviously! We visited the pet store, held 2 puppies., looked at fish, snakes, cats and eels ( yuck ) then stopped at Dairy Queen. It was so much fun!
When I was little I loved milkweed pods...and I still do! I have passed this love onto my daycare pals! We LOVE to hunt for them, crack them open and blow out the "fluff" Even though it was VERY windy we set off to capture our prize - as I had spyed our beloved pods from the car when driving by. Horray, the fluff was just fluffy enough, and it was just windy enough to watch the fluff and seeds fly away! What joy!!
awww...look at my 14 year old, ready to leave his family for 4 1/2 long months... I look at these pictures and wonder "how could we let him leave us for so long when he was this little?" (My now 19 year old of course thinks that is silly!!)
You would think I would be used to it by now...afterall, he has been leaving his Mother every winter since he was 14 years old.... Matty leaves for Colorado the evening of Novmeber 18th. There will be NO DAYCARE ON FRIDAY NOVEMBER 19th so Matty and I can roadtrip to Colorado in his truck and I will fly back that Sunday. Remeber as well that Thanksgiving and the DAY AFTER are paid vacation days for me and there will be no daycare as well!
